Program Overview
The Bloomfield Trades is a hands-on career training initiative for high school students, focusing on entry-level construction trades and job readiness. This program includes:
OSHA 10 Certification
  • Tool Safety
  • Wood Framing & Roofing
  • Ergonomics of Construction
  • Career Development Workshops
  • Hands-On Learning in a Makerspace Setting

Who Can Apply?
  • Open to Bloomfield High School students only, grades 11 & 12.
  • Students will be selected based on an interview process.
Registration Begins: Tuesday, July 29th
Location: Hartford Makerspace, 36 Talcott St, Hartford, CT
Dates: August 16th – 22nd, 2025
Training Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Students must arrive by 9:45 AM
Transportation is Provided: 330 Park Ave, Flag Pole Entrance
