Family Hike from Farmington River Park - River to Ridge Walk
Join the fourth annual Mother/Father's Day Hike at Farmington River Park on June 15 from 9am-noon. Our 3-mile hike over scenic trails will be led by a geologist, a river enthusiast, and a tree expert. You'll learn about the river, the geology of the area, and forest trees. Bring your water bottle and bug spray. Hiking poles are optional. As you prepare for the Mother/Father's Day Hike at Farmington River Park, here are some additional details to keep in mind:
In addition to learning about the river, geology, and trees, you'll also have the chance to spot some of the local wildlife, including birds.
The hike will be led by experienced guides who will share their knowledge and passion for the outdoors. They'll also be happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.
To make the most of your experience, be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. Bringing a backpack with snacks, sunscreen, and a hat is also recommended. Rain date is Sunday 6/28. Sponsored by treesforbloomfield@Bloomfieldct.org
