Family Hike from Farmington River Park - River to Ridge Walk

We invite you to register for our 5th annual Mother/Father's Day Guided Hike at Farmington River Park on June 15 from 9am-noon, 460 Tunxis Avenue, Bloomfield.
Our 3-mile hike over scenic trails will be led by a geologist, a river enthusiast, and a tree expert who will share their knowledge and passion for the outdoors. You'll learn about the river, the geology of the area, and forest trees. Bring your water bottle and bug spray. Hiking poles are optional.  
 
As you prepare for the Mother/Father's Day Hike at Farmington River Park,
here are some additional details to keep in mind:
  •  In addition to learning about the river, geology, and trees, you'll also have the chance to spot some of the local wildlife, including birds.
  • To make the most of your experience, be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. Bringing a backpack with snacks, sunscreen, and a hat is also recommended. 
  • Rain date is Saturday June 29, same times.
  • Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone to capture some of the stunning views and unique features of the park. 
  • After the walk if you’d like to remain and have lunch, picnic tables are available.
Enjoy a fun day in the Farmington River Park with the family! And come back and visit again.
